WWWWWH: WHAT about me?
Jean Marzollo: I love you, too!
WWWWWH: I want to ask you about I LOVE YOU: A REBUS POEM. WHY do you love that book?
Jean Marzollo: Because kids can read it before they understand phonics. I find that if I read it once or twice to a 4-year-old, the 4-year-old will be able to read it back to me. I love that!

WWWWWH: WHY do you love teaching?
Jean Marzollo: I love teaching because kids love to learn. I don't think I've ever met a kid who didn't want to learn.
WWWWWH: WHAT about your book I SPY LITTLE HEARTS? WHEN was it published?
I SPY
Little Hearts |
Jean Marzollo: It was just published by Scholastic. It's a board book for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
WWWWWH: WHAT children's book did you love most when you were little?
Jean Marzollo: The Wonderful Story Book by Margaret Wise Brown. She's the author of Good Night Moon. I still have the Wonderful Story Book. It's old and worn because it received a lot of love.
WWWWWH: Thank you, Jean Marzollo, for the interview.
