To make the key chain, take a 3- or 4-inch-square piece of wood about 1/4 inch thick. If you can't find one about the right size, measure and cut one. The piece of wood doesn't have to be square. An odd shape or even a circle will do fine.
Take a brace with a small bit and drill a hole about 1 inch in from one edge. Sand the hole and the rest of the piece carefully.
Paint the key chain with a water-base enamel paint. When the paint dries thoroughly, thread a bead chain through the hole. Your key chain is now done and ready for use.
