BULL'S EYE TOSS
Age level: 3 and up
Number of Players: 3 or more
What is Needed: things to toss (beanbags, stuffed animals, balls), and baskets or cartons to catch them
Type of Game: competitive or noncompetitive
Location: inside or outside
HOW TO PLAY
Have the children stand behind a line on the floor or ground. Set the basket (or baskets, each one worth a different amount of points) far enough away to be challenging to the children but not impossible to hit. For younger children, it helps to have several baskets, one quite close, so that most of them can experience shooting a bull's-eye.
COMPETITIVE VERSION
The children who get the most points compete in a playoff with the baskets farther away.
NONCOMPETITIVE VERSION
Let the children take turns throwing the objects until they tire of the game. Count up points for each child. See whether the child can beat his or her score on subsequent turns.
VARIATIONS
Change the name to suit the theme of the party: Toss the Dinosaur in the Swamp for a Dinosaur Party, and so on.
