PIN THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY
Age Level: 4 and up
Number of Players: 2 or more
What is Needed: a picture of a donkey (you can make it or buy it) taped to the refrigerator or a door, a tail, tape or pins, a blindfold
Type of Game: competitive or noncompetitive
Location: inside
HOW TO PLAY
Put a piece of tape or a pin on the end of the tail. Blindfold the birthday child (who goes first) and spin him or her around three or four times. Then head the child in the right direction and ask the child to stick the tail on the donkey. Wherever the child sticks the tail, write the child's name. Remove the tail for the next child's turn. Continue until everyone has had a turn.
COMPETITIVE VERSION
The child who puts the tail in the most correct spot wins.
NONCOMPETITIVE VERSION
Talk about each place the tail got put: "Johnny put his on the eye!" Laugh together at such silliness, and at the end say congratulations to the child who put the tail in the most realistic spot. Don't make a big fuss about it.
VARIATIONS
Change the name of the game to suit the theme of the party: Pin the Hat on the Witch for a Halloween Party or Pin the Head (or Tail) on the Dinosaur for a Dinosaur Party, and so on.
