Birthday Parties For Children

SNEAKY PETE

Age Level: 4 and up

Number of Players: 4 or more

What is Needed: a chair, something to put under it (a pillow, stuffed animal, plastic cup, or toy car), a blindfold

Type of Game: noncompetitive

Location: inside or outside

HOW TO PLAY

Everyone except It (the birthday child at first) lines up, one behind the other.
It sits, blindfolded, on a chair about six feet away from the first child in line.
An object (let's say a stuffed bear) is placed under the chair. The first person in line crawls or tiptoes toward the chair and tries to snatch the bear under the chair and bring it back to the line. It waves his or her hands and feet and tries to hear or feel this player coming. If It tags the player, the other player becomes It. If the player gets the bear and goes back to the line without being tagged, It remains on the chair. The bear is returned and the next player in line tries to get it.
